Here is a look at 100 companies that collectively raised over $4 billion in the month of November. Plus, a Chinese GPU startup saw a flood of new funding and a truly massive chip drew investors’ attention. Two companies are focused on touch interaction, while another aims to make it easier for those with communication and motor disabilities to interact with everyday tech.Īutonomous driving was another hot area last month, with two companies raising $500 million or more each and several others seeing rounds over $100 million. Most of those are developing waveguides and other display technology that is light enough to be comfortable to wear regularly. As the concept of the ‘metaverse’ becomes more widespread with Nvidia’s recent GTC announcements and Facebook’s rebranding, investors poured money into startups with enabling technology for augmented, virtual, and extended reality. There’s nothing virtual about the level of interest in AR/VR startups.
